Legislative Representation
Perhaps one of the most important services provided by the Association, SLAHA is your "voice" in government. SLAHA monitors legislative activity and regulatory measures at the local and state level that effect your business. Annually, SLAHA representatives visit Jefferson City to inform lawmakers on issues of importance to the hospitality industry and the impact tourism and convention business has on the state.
State Membership Benefits
By joining SLAHA, you are automatically enrolled as a member of the Missouri Hotel & Lodging Association, providing you with additional benefits throughout the state.
Membership Directory
An online Membership Directory lists all Members in the Association including Allied Members who have valuable services to offer Hotel Association Members.
Membership Newsletter
The Association's newsletter provides members with up-to-date information on upcoming meetings, events, legislative activities, and other local issues pertaining to city and county ordinances and a host of other valuable information.
Networking Receptions
Networking receptions are held at interesting venues around the St. Louis area. The receptions provide an excellent opportunity for Hotel and Allied Members to meet and greet in a fun atmosphere.
Educational Meetings
The Association sponsors educational meetings on topics of high interest to members and/or their key staff. They are held at various locations, in conjunction with breakfast or lunch. Reservations are required.

Hotel and Allied Members are listed FREE on the Association's web page, www.stlhotels.com. Member hotels and motels are listed alphabetically in the member section. The "St. Louis Hotels" section provides individuals with geographically searchable information about accommodations in St. Louis, along with a property description, contact information, hyperlink to your web site and company logo.
Networking Events & Community Relations
Annual SLAHA Hotel Games
During May, Hotel and Allied Members compete in a series of fun and humorous contests, while spotlighting the hospitality industry and the people who make the entire metro area look good to visitors.
Annual SLAHA Golf Tournament
The Annual SLAHA Golf Tournament is one of the premier golf tournaments in the St. Louis area. Held the Tuesday after Labor Day, this wonderful event provides a great day of fun followed by an evening dinner where awards are presented along with fabulous prizes.
Annual SLAHA Softball Tournament
During September, SLAHA hosts a spectacular Softball Tournament including competing Hotel and Allied Member teams.
Hospitality Undergraduate and Continuing Education Scholarships
The Association awards scholarships annually to students (including, but not limited to, current hotel employees and allied members) pursuing a career in the hospitality industry.

Hotel and allied members are listed FREE on the Association's improved web page, www.stlhotels.com. Member hotels and motels are listed alphabetically in the member section. Allied members also receive a FREE listing by service or product on the Association's "Buyer's Guide" web page accessed by hotel members. Listings include contact information, a hyperlink to your web site, a description of your service or product and a company logo.

Allied members can give a five-minute presentation to board members at a quarterly board meeting. This is an outstanding opportunity to network and share your success stories with major hotels throughout the St. Louis area.
